Who is Don Armstrong?
On Sept. 14, 2005, Don Armstrong was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). In 2010, after five rounds of chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant, Armstrong has remained in remission for five years – a significant milestone for any cancer survivor.
Armstrong’s determination and courage led him to create the Finish Your Race™ campaign to not only celebrate his survival and raise money for the cause, but to run for those who cannot finish their race.
An avid marathon runner, Armstrong ran ten marathons with Team In Training in 2010; post stem cell transplant. He is currently an author and motivational speaker – teaching others to finish their race in all areas of life with courage, confidence, grace and a positive spirit.
